36th Anniversary Convention
The 36th Anniversary Convention of the Association of Professional Bankers Sri Lanka (APB) took place successfully on 19th and 20th February 2026 at Cinnamon Life (Lumina Ballroom), under the theme of “Navigating Complexity and Accelerating Impact Through Regional Synergy”. The Inauguration ceremony held on 19th February, was graced by Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, the Governor of Central bank of Sri Lanka as the Chief Guest. The Keynote speaker and the Guest of Honor was Shri Ajay Kumar, Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India. This year’s convention was represented by number of international speakers and panelists and also senior government officials, senior central bank officials and industry experts including CEOs and senior members from leading banks in Sri Lanka. The launch of the APB anniversary e-journal and the unveiling of the new-look APB Website were the most significant events of the 20th Technical session. We have captured a few moments of the event.
